Crest Nicholson Raises Over £2m For Children's Charity
UK housebuilder Crest Nicholson has supported Variety, the Children's Charity, with a donation of over £2 million.
The company has partnered with the charity for fourteen years, with events like the London Marathon, the Prudential Ride 100, or an 8-day cycle trip from Cambodia to Vietnam helping Crest Nicholson raise money.
Variety works to support children and young people throughout the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged, and Crest Nicholson is currently the charity's largest supporter.
The money raised has helped Variety complete their amazing work, giving those with disabilities real independence, those from disadvantaged backgrounds special days they might not have been able to enjoy, and families the support that they need to help their children enjoy access to the same opportunities as their peers. Crest Nicholson have also funded 42 Sunshine Coaches to Variety, ensuring that schools and organisations are able to plan inclusive activities, with wheelchair access built in.
Chris Tinker, Executive Board Director from Crest Nicholson commented: "The Crest Nicholson team have always gone above and beyond to raise much-needed funds for Variety, and we're elated to have reached the £2 million mark. The work Variety does is so important, so we're very proud to have supported them for the past 14 years."
Jo Carter, Variety's CEO added: "We are all so grateful for everything that Crest Nicholson staff and suppliers have done, and continue to do, for the children and families we help. Their fundraising has a tremendous impact on the lives of so many – we hope they feel very proud of all that has been achieved with their support!"
