Unipart Selects Aganto For Temporary Waste Processing Build Project
Unipart Group is a multinational logistics, supply chain, manufacturing and consultancy company. The logistics division were looking for a building solution to house a temporary waste management process at the National Distribution and Repair centre in Nuneaton.
Senior Facilities Manager at Unipart Logistics, John Jobson contacted Aganto Sales Manager Janos Szabo for a budget cost on an insulated building with dimensions of 15 x 40 x 4.2 metres at the eave. This was specified to include two electric roller shutter doors to allow for easy movement of material through the building. In addition to their suitability for waste management processing, the aluminium structures themselves are recyclable. The modular construction of Aganto temporary buildings makes them relocatable or they can be resold after use. This benefit can be used for either reduced financial commitment in the form of a rental contract, or extended value payback if purchased. In this case the purchase option was preferred, so on gaining planning approval for the project, pallets, fencing and compactors were moved to create space for the building, so installation work could commence. The base plate was fixed to the existing concrete hardstanding, before the frame profiles were erected. The build schedule concluded with installation of the pedestrian access doors, guttering and sealing.
The full installation was completed ahead of time, with a five-man site team in just one week. In line with standard procedure, and as the build process neared completion, Aganto's in-house Site Manager Wayne Bradshaw inspected the structure alongside the client. This ensured any additional snagging works were quickly identified. There weren't any complications with this project however, with the Operations department receiving great feedback from John: "Can I pass on my thanks to all concerned for the installation at our Nuneaton site build completed today. Wayne and his team have done a brilliant job ahead to time to a high standard of workmanship with no issues or causes of concern to us for the duration of the works."
