Work Starts On £60m Development In Ruddington
Works have commenced on a new £60 million development in Ruddington, Nottingham.
Avant Homes was granted planning permission by Rushcliffe Borough Council earlier this year for the development located on Musters Lane.
The initial phase of work has now commenced at Wilbur Chase and once all works are complete, the development will bring 175 new homes to the area, including 122 three, four and five-bedroom homes and 53 affordable homes.
Ideally situated close to Nottingham and with excellent commuter links to other major urban hubs including Derby, Leicester and Loughborough, interest has been steadily growing for homes at Wilbur Chase. The initial phase is due to go on sale before the end of the year with the first homes expected to be completed in early 2021. The overall build is expected to take around four years.
Avant Homes Midlands sales and marketing director Steve Rider said: "Wilbur Chase is a hugely exciting development for us and it’s great that the first phase of work is now underway. There has already been significant interest in Wilbur Chase from a range of potential buyers and we fully expect to see properties selling off-plan.
"Ruddington and the surrounding area is a an extremely popular area to live, with plenty of amenities close by including a number of primary and secondary schools, all within touching distance of Nottingham whilst the nearby countryside provides a great mix of urban and rural living, giving buyers a Wilbur Chase the best of both worlds."
