Megson Utilities has bought four new Yanmar SV18 canopy excavators and matching plant trailers.
The new models will be used for groundwork applications in utility connection projects across West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
Purchased from MTS Plant, Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA's dealer for Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire and the central belt of Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh), the state-of-the-art models are compact, productive and have been designed with the operator firmly in mind.
Featuring Yanmar's next-generation 12.9hp 3TNV70-VBA2 diesel engine, the SV18 delivers 51.4nm torque at 1,500rpm. Powerful and efficient, operators benefit from class-leading cycle times, quiet operation and impressive fuel efficiency.
Customised in keeping with the Megson Utilities brand, the four new models feature a bespoke black livery and branding graphics installed locally by MTS Plant.
Kevin Megson, managing director of Megson Utilities, commented: "When it comes to specifying new plant equipment, power, performance and reliability are key. The perfect blend of Japanese design and European build quality, the SV18 is stylish, sophisticated and guarantees exceptional productivity.
"Since taking delivery of our new models, we've been hugely impressed with their performance and versatility. From next-generation in-cab operator technologies, to a flow-sharing closed-centre hydraulic system enabling precise operation, they suit our requirements perfectly."
