Demolition Work Begins To Build New Apartment Development
Work has started to build new residential developments in Glasgow.
Demolition work has begun at the site on St Georges Road.
The 65-apartment development, City Garden Apartments, complete with its own bee hotel, is the latest high-profile residential apartment complex to arrive in the centre of Glasgow. Comprising high-spec 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses, residents will benefit from the exclusive use of a private sensory garden.
The apartments are designed to create a hidden oasis in the city which offers residents an escape from the fast pace of city life with all the convenience on their doorstep.
Campbell Docherty of Strathcarron Homes, the firm behind City Garden Apartments said: "It's great to finally get things underway and to break ground. There has been a lot of excitement about this ambitious project and it goes to show that there is real appetite for people wanting modern, contemporary homes in the heart of Glasgow."
The demolition of the current site which will then make way for the construction to begin marks a key milestone in the developments progress and also acts as further evidence that the Scottish property market remains buoyant in the wake of recent lockdown restrictions.
Chris Breckenridge, whose team at Corum are leading the sale of the development alongside Savills said: "City Garden Apartments has a unique and contemporary design which offers something completely different to the people of Glasgow. The professionally designed gardens, spacious open-planned apartments and immediate access to the City Centre and West End have made this one of our most popular residential developments."
