Higgins Continues Expansion Into West Of London
Higgins is continuing its expansion into the West of London region.
Focusing on London and the South East, Higgins currently has nearly 600 units under construction in the West of London, with a further 200 units due to start across three further sites in the coming months.
Steve Leakey, Managing Director of Higgins said: "Over recent years, the West of London has become an increasingly important geographical area for us with the completion of a number of significant schemes. With our appointment at Bath Road, Hounslow and Grange Farm, Harrow in 2019 and our first joint venture with A2Dominion at Boston Road, Hanwell we are committed to delivering further successful partnership schemes in this area.
"We have also recently been appointed by Brent Council to design and build 73 mixed tenure new homes and one retail unit as part of the masterplan of Stonebridge and have further schemes in Brent and Uxbridge in the pipeline."
Higgins has started construction at the £22.5 million Grange Farm Estate in South Harrow for Harrow Council which will provide 68 much needed brand new council homes and 21 shared ownership properties with parking, a new substation, external works and services. This forms part of the overall masterplan that will eventually provide 574 new homes, of which half will be affordable, along with revamping the estate which has long been in need of regeneration.
At Bath Road, Hounslow, Higgins is building 176 much needed affordable homes along with a new 6100 sq. ft supermarket for A2Dominion. The £40 million project will provide 93 shared ownership and 83 rented homes in three blocks, ranging up to seven storeys in height. It has also been designed to incorporate residential, outdoor and retail space as well as a play area.
