Steel Work Complete On £6.5m Redevelopment Project In Sale
Steel work on the £6.5million redevelopment of the M33 offices in Sale, Trafford, has been completed.
Contract Services is the construction company managing the works.
Nick Appleton, from Salford-based Contract Services, said: "Contract Services takes great pride in acting as the Principal Contractor and Principal Designer across the entire scheme. We have a fantastic working relationship with CEG and this is the third major building refurbishment we have managed for the company. They are an exciting client to work for as they aim to deliver high-end and state-of-the-art office space. The fact that CEG continues to put their trust in Contract Services is testament to all of our hard work and professionalism."
Formerly known as Jackson House, the 128,000 sq ft building is being extended and refurbished on behalf of CEG.
Offering the largest single floor plates of any office in South Manchester at almost 30,000 sq ft, the building is being transformed with a c2,000 sq ft extension to deliver a striking contemporary, glazed double-height entrance reception, café and terrace. The ‘pop out’ windows complete the new look and a new cycle hub and electric vehicle charging points are being installed alongside the refurbishment of interior business suites.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the refurbishment will deliver high quality office space with energy efficient lighting and heating solutions, enhanced by new thermally efficient windows. As well as reducing customer's operating costs this will create an appealing working environment for staff.
Robert Morton, investment manager at CEG, said: "This multimillion-pound refurbishment, extension and rebrand has been designed with our business customers in mind. Not only will it create a striking building at the heart of Sale, but we will be able to offer headquarter quality space alongside studios for small and growing companies.
"The environment will be exceptional with a private garden for customers, alongside a new café and deli with atrium seating, meeting rooms, video meeting facilities and innovative break out spaces for working or informal meetings. With such a range of facilities, we expect a high level of interest from businesses seeking high quality space in South Manchester."
Currently home to IBM, Sesame Banking Group, Ralli Solicitors, Reassured and AA Projects, Canning O’Neill and Savills have been appointed as letting agents to market the new-look space.
