Wates Residential has appointed Andrew Savege as its new Head of Partnerships.
Andrew will play a key role in bidding for new developments and maintaining and developing the firm’s long-term relationships with its local authority and housing association partners.
Joining with over 30 years' experience in property development, mixed tenure regeneration and joint venture development partnerships with local authorities, Andrew's appointment takes effect from the beginning of May 2021.
Helen Bunch, Executive Managing Director at Wates Residential, said: "Being a family business allows us to take a long-term view and invest in the relationships we have with local authority and housing association partners. We listen to our customers and have created this new Head of Partnerships role and appointed Andrew to the task to be their internal voice.
"We are an ambitious business with significant growth plans, and by taking this approach we will be better able to deliver high quality mixed-tenure schemes for our customers and create positive legacies for the communities around our projects."
Andrew said: "Wates Residential has a very clear identity that sets it apart from other contractors and developers, significantly because it is a values-based, family business that is designed and set up to benefit society.
"These benefits will be maximised by working in partnership with our customers. I look forward to leading bids for new developments and to meeting and building relationships with the local authorities and housing associations we work with to create sustainable communities together."
