Charlie Ratchford Resource Centre In London To Be Redeveloped

Construction News Image
Plans to redevelop the former Charlie Ratchford Resource Centre on Belmont Street, London, have been given the go-ahead.

Under the proposals, Vistry Partnerships London Developments will replace the redundant building with 115 one, two and three bed homes and a new landscaped courtyard, including children’s play space.

As part of the redevelopment, Vistry Partnerships London Developments has already successfully constructed 38 new Extra Care apartments for the Council on Crogsland Road, directly opposite the site.

Combined, the two developments will provide 50% affordable housing, playing an important part of the Council’s Community Investment Programme, a 15-year plan to build new council homes, schools and community facilities.

Matthew Taylor, Managing Director of Vistry Partnerships London Developments, said: "We've worked closely with Camden Council to develop these plans and have already successfully delivered 38 Extra Care apartments as part of the scheme. Designed by renowned architects HTA Design, these new apartments will play a significant role in helping to revitalise the area and provide new homes for local people."
