Patrick Parsons Appointed To New Nottingham Housing Development
Multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, Patrick Parsons, has been appointed by the housebuilder, Countryside, to deliver civil and structural engineering consultancy services for the first 332 new homes and associated infrastructure, for the new neighbourhood of Fairham, Nottingham.
The 20-acre site is the first parcel of land of the £800m new neighbourhood plans for Nottingham, being delivered in partnership by Clowes Developments and Homes England, the government's housing accelerator, to be developed. Situated on a 606-acre site on the southern edge of the city, Fairham will bring a total of 3,000 new homes, as well as numerous jobs and opportunities. The development will form a key part in meeting Rushcliffe Borough Council's housing need for 13,500 new homes over the next decade.
Collaborating with Countryside on the 20-acre site, Patrick Parsons will support the project from the feasibility stage, through planning to construction and handover. The homes will be a mix of housing types, including three and four bedroom homes and one and two bedroom apartments.
Gail Bamforth, CEO of Patrick Parsons, said: "We are delighted to be involved in this significant scheme, working with Countryside to deliver the premier residential phase of the Fairham development. This landmark new community will set the tone for our future neighbourhoods, delivering sustainable place and space for people to live and flourish."
Once completed Fairham will be the East Midlands' most significant mixed-use development, bringing brand new amenities including a primary school, health centre and community centre, as well as more than 50 acres of commercial space within easy reach of the M1.
Patrick Parsons and Countryside have forged a well-established relationship, with the engineering consultancy recently appointed to deliver on Standard Hill and Walton on Trent Bypass for the housebuilder.
The engineering firm has a strong track-record in providing civil and structural services for similar projects. Its teams have previously been appointed to provide consultancy on the Primrose Estate in Kings Norton, a 300-property regeneration development for Tilia Homes and the Ockford Park, Cala Homes scheme in Surrey of 262 houses.
