Mace Announces Two Senior Appointments
Mace has announced two new senior appointments.
Lizz Robinson and Mark Anders have joined Consult's expanding transport team following a major Highways England win.
Mace has brought Lizz and Mark on board to expand the organisation's position within the transport sector and to support the business following its appointment to Highways England’s Commercial and Project Management (CPMS) Framework.
The newly appointed directors will be responsible for building an experienced team to support the CPMS Framework, which has been developed so that Highways England can pull upon the expertise needed to deliver on the government’s £27.4bn Roads Investment Strategy.
Over the next five years, the framework will deliver long-term improvements to England’s motorways and major roads. It will see the development of 52 new road schemes and work on 12 new major highways projects to improve and provide capacity to the network where needed.
Within this framework, which is worth £420m, Mace is delivering on both lots for commercial and project management services.
Lizz brings to Mace nearly 20 years of infrastructure and highways industry experience across project and programme management, having closely worked with Highways England in various roles since 2014. She will play a key part in helping Mace develop and implement its transport strategy, acting as the director and client manager for the CPMS Framework, whilst overseeing Lot 2, which will deliver project management services, including planning, scheduling and risk management.
Mark has delivered commercial services to the infrastructure sector for over 20 years and will lead this part of the CPMS Framework as the director for Lot 1. He has extensive roads experience, having led the commercial management of Highways England's Programmes and Major Projects in a previous role. As a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and NEC contract trainer, he brings a range of expertise to Mace, and as the newly appointed commercial practice lead, he will be responsible for developing the businesses' commercial offer, working closely with the Consult Cost and Commercial Management team.
