Building Work Complete On Barlby Primary School
Building work on Barlby Primary School in London has been completed and the keys have officially been handed over.
Headteacher Anthony Mannix took a tour of the new premises, which include 18 classrooms alongside an art room, library and an orchard teaching facility for children with autistic spectrum conditions.
Once the project is fully completed towards the end of the year, the school will provide pupils with an array of outdoor play and learning spaces including playgrounds, terraces and a multi-use games area.
Barlby Primary has been built alongside Kensington Queensmill, the borough's first dedicated special school, as part of a £39 million investment from the Council.
Mr Mannix said: "We're delighted with our new facilities here at Barlby Primary School.
"It's an amazing opportunity for our community and we look forward to welcoming back the children and our families to our wonderful new school in early September."
