Rapid Fire Supplies have won Growth Business of the Year at the Start Up Loans Delivery Partner Awards, an award with 11,000 participants.
Having been shortlisted for the Chamber of Somerset Start Up of the Year, it is a fitting achievement to win this award.
The national online awards was held on 22 April, to celebrate the achievements made through the Start Up Loans scheme during 2020.
Craig Eddy and Nikki Little, Directors of Rapid Fire Supplies, received a £25,000 start up loan in April 2020 to begin their business.
Having launched at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Craig and Nikki have gone on to build a successful business over the past year. Not only does Rapid Fire Supplies support the community with much needed health and safety, hygiene and PPE supplies, they've now extended their range to cover fire safety equipment and workplace safety wear.
Craig said: "It's been a difficult year, with many tricky decisions having to be made, but it’s always been our aim to build an honest and successful business and that’s exactly what we've achieved."
Nikki added: "We're so proud that all of our hard work has culminated in being recognised by this award, it's a real sense of achievement and validates our dedication."
Alongside creating new jobs, Rapid Fire Supplies have signed up to the National Living Wage scheme. Sarah added: "Craig and Nikki are determined not just to do well as a business, but to be a good employer and build a company with a first-class reputation."
The loan was taken through SWIG Finance. SWIG’s Managing Director, John Peters, commented: "We're very pleased that Craig and Nikki have received recognition for what they have achieved in a very short space of time. Operating through the pandemic has been a challenge in itself – Rapid Fire Supplies have gone above and beyond that to create a business they can be proud of."
