City & Guilds 2919 Level 3 Award in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation aims to provide expert guidance to learners wishing to gain knowledge and understanding on Electrical Vehicle charging equipment installation.
This qualification is suitable for practicing electricians interested in understanding how to install the range of equipment and systems available. The course covers the specialised installation requirements of electric vehicle charging equipment in the public, private and commercial locations and includes exclusive industry guidance.
Course content
During your study we will cover a range of knowledge and skills across the areas including inspection & testing and handling of electrical vehicle charging equipment. Candidates will be assessed by online multiple choice exam and a practical assessment.
• Domestic, commercial electric vehicle charging equipment installations
• Design electric vehicle charging and power supply systems
• Installation and commissioning of electric vehicle charging equipment
• Key areas involving inspection and testing of electric vehicle charging equipment.
Entry requirements
Applicant required to have 18th Edition and C&G 2365 Electrical diploma level 3 certificates as prerequisite.
On completion, you can apply under a national approved installers scheme, which can lead to referrals for installation jobs in your local area and the ability to draw down government funding for charging point installations work.
