Guardtech Cleanrooms - The Total Controlled Environment Package

Construction News Image
2021 has been quite a year for Guardtech Cleanrooms – and things are set to get even better over the coming 12 months for the multi-faceted modular masters.

The Suffolk company have been providing their turnkey construction services, modular cleanroom builds, CleanCube portable cleanrooms and ISOPOD pop-ups at sites all over the UK, with concurrent 400sqm and 150sqm projects currently underway for Grade C and Grade D cleanrooms in Cambridge and Sevenoaks respectively.

Guardtech's offering not only includes full commissioning and validation programmes after builds are completed, but also regular service and maintenance contracts to ensure their sites continue to perform to optimum levels and meet relevant standards.

But Guardtech also provide a surprisingly comprehensive array of furniture & equipment options to all their clients – from cleanroom grade chairs, sinks and cabinets to biological safety cabinets, laminar flow units and transfer hatches.

Their Commercial Manager Daisy Friend has been kitting out firms from a diverse range of industries at home and overseas over the past 12 months, and she's looking to take this aspect of the business to another level in 2022.

"Here at Guardtech, we're renown for our modular build services, turnkey construction builds and our CleanCube and ISOPOD products, but we also provide the option for full furniture & equipment solutions in every project we undertake.

"Our stainless steel frame Trespa top workbenches have proved incredibly popular this year – due to their outstanding quality level at really competitive prices, and that’s a good example of the sort of item we're providing in large numbers for many of the jobs we take on. Offering great quality, reliable products at good prices is a really important aspect of any Guardtech build – and it's something we’re always looking to improve upon.

"With the pandemic and all the associated PCR testing, we’ve had to provide a huge number of biosafety cabinets for firms looking to protect their staff and their businesses.

"This is only going to grow over the next year as we get our teeth into another jam-packed construction schedule – where I'm expecting to deliver even more comprehensive furniture & equipment solutions to our clients."

That busy schedule will see Guardtech begin work on a 20sqm ISO8 cleanroom for a company making silicon solar cells, as well as a 400sqm Grade C build for cell and gene therapy cleanrooms.

This all comes after an exciting recent spell of projects, including a 30sqm ISO7 solution in Cardiff for a firm manufacturing components in outer space in, an 80sqm ISO5 semiconductor cleanroom, a 45sqm ISO5 build in Bristol, a 30sqm ISO7 installation in Salford for cell and gene therapy and a 200sqm ISO9 project in Daventry.

Many of these clients took advantage of Guardtech's ability to cater to their furniture & equipment needs, whether that was stainless steel stepover benches, garment storage options, lockers or shelving, as well as more high-spec products such as air showers, fume hoods or nitrogen generators.

And their Commercial Director Mark Wheeler insists Guardtech will continue to do all they can to "remove as many hassles as possible" for their customers when building their ideal controlled environment.

"The furniture & equipment arm of our business is a really important part of the complete package we try to deliver for clients," he said. "Daisy and the team work incredibly hard to ensure our customers get everything they need, in good time, at competitive prices and to the highest quality possible.

"We want all our existing clients and potential future clients to rest assured that all of their controlled environment needs will be taken care of by our diligent, professional team – we strive to deliver the best results in every aspect of our projects and that same dedication to quality is at the heart of our furniture & equipment solutions, too."
