Traditionally we have supplied fencing merchants, local sawmills, and independent timber merchants with fencing and landscaping timbers. With increased frequency, builders’ merchants have been contacting us with the aim of expanding their range to include more of these products. Therefore, it made sense for us to keep a small element of graded carcassing to offer as a top-up service. Both to help with delivery volume and as a convenient way for merchants to plug gaps in their stock requirements.
Since 2009 our expertise has been in the importation and wholesale distribution of fencing and landscaping timbers. Our agricultural fencing posts, used by the farming community for post and wire installations, can be seen the length and breadth of the country. We have had equal success with sawn post and rail fencing. Our commitment to excellent customer service and our insistence on high quality stock has helped us build long term relationships with our customers but we can also attribute much of our success to our Pro-Post product. Our Pro-Post timber posts are supplied with a 15-year warranty which is underwritten by Lonza wood preservatives. We are confident in the longevity of our posts because we have complete control of the whole treatment process. We only use slow grown redwood which has been precisely kiln dried to the correct moisture content. This is then pressure treated in a vacuum enclave to achieve maximum sapwood penetration giving the post optimal protection against rot and insect attack. A Pro-Post can be identified by a permanent heat stamp marking each and every post individually. As well as agricultural and equestrian fencing we stock a wide range of sawn sizes for traditional garden fencing. Our closeboard featheredge panels and closeboard fencing components are the go-to product for house builders when it comes to installing the garden perimeters. Additionally, our close partnership with one of Europe’s largest wooden fence panel manufactures has enabled massive growth in our European panel sales. Our merchants are able to select the panel styles they want from an increasing range of designs, enabling them to benefit from the huge popularity of European style fencing with the general public.
The convenience for merchants to order the mix of timber packs they need, whether it’s for construction or fencing or both, all on the same delivery has proved to be incredibly popular with our customers. So, to improve on this service further, we have widened our range of stock sizes in C24 graded timbers and added timber battens and shiplap cladding to our regular stock line-up. This decision has proved to be very timely as the building trade, looking to decrease its carbon footprint wherever it can, turns to timber products as the environmentally sustainable option. By proving our service and quality and providing competitively priced products, new customers soon become regular customers, strengthening the network of merchants we deal with. This enables us to reach all areas of the country more often, increasing our capability to offer a just in time service.
We would welcome any builders' merchants wishing to order a mix of just 5 or more packs from our entire stock range to get in touch. Pretty soon you will see just how useful it is to have us on board as a reliable supplier of your construction and fencing timbers.
