United Colleges Group To Develop New Education Facility In Brent
The United Colleges Group (UCG) is to develop a new education facility in Brent.
UCG, which brings together College of North West London and City of Westminster College, acquired the site of the Olympic Office Centre in Wembley.
Once complete, the new facility will bring new jobs to Wembley and the wider Brent area, and will offer opportunities to young people and adults of all ages to improve their skills, advance their careers, and gain valuable experience.
Green skills, including engineering and the built environment, will be the focus of the ambitious new facility which will also offer classes in digital technology, computing, and health and social care subjects.
Students with supported learning requirements and those for whom English is a second language will also find themselves with a wide range of opportunities to choose from.
Stephen Davis, Group Principal and CEO of the UCG, said: "I am thrilled to be able to announce the United Colleges Group’s ground-breaking plans for a world-class education facility at the heart of our Brent community.
"Our new site will bring more education, training, and skills opportunities for the residents of Brent and the wider London community and will provide the community with an important place to work and learn.
"With its focus on green skills and emerging technologies, we are also pleased to say that our new location will enable us not just to provide a boost to the present generation but will do so for many generations to come."
