Refurb Work Commences On Care Home In Warrington
Exemplar Health Care has commenced refurbishment on a £4m state-of-the-art care home in Warrington, Cheshire, due to open in Autumn 2022.
Pacy and Wheatley Construction Limited have been appointed by Exemplar Health Care to redevelop the existing building, to create a 40-bed care home.
The home, named Woolston Grange, will be equipped top-to-bottom to meet the needs of its new residents. Each of the 40 bedrooms will come with an en-suite wet room, and the building will feature high quality, spacious communal spaces, sensory and therapy room and landscaped gardens, for residents and visitors to enjoy. The home will specialise in supporting people living with dementia, acquired brain injury, complex mental health conditions and physical disabilities.
Charlotte Lloyd, Developments Director at Exemplar Health Care, commented: "We're pleased to announce that construction on our newly renovated home in Warrington has commenced, which will bring over 150 jobs to the area, including management, domestic, nursing, catering, and care positions.
"Our goal is to employ as many local people as possible – and we are hoping to be able to recruit local nurses and carers, as well as sourcing local businesses for services such as window cleaning and garden maintenance.
"We want to assist people in and around Warrington who are living with a range of complex conditions and are misplaced or remain in hospital settings for more than two years, frequently far from home. Woolston Grange will provide Nurse-led, person-centered care, and will be supported by a full multi-disciplinary team including a Physiotherapist and an Occupational Therapist, that enables people to regain their independence and everyday living skills, and, where possible, return to their homes in the community."
