First Phase Of New Homes Delivered In Coleford
The first phase of new homes have been delivered at Forest Grove in Coleford.
Forest Grove is a mixed residential development being delivered by Barratt Homes, which will see 180 new homes built, with 40% designated for affordable housing. The first phase of development has seen 31 homes delivered, with four of them designated as affordable housing.
The 72 new affordable homes on the development will include 50 affordable rented properties, ranging from one-bed flats, two-bed bungalows through to large four-bed family housing.
Cabinet Member for Housing, Cllr Claire Vaughan, said: "Providing affordable housing for residents continues to be one of our key priorities as your District Council, and Forest Grove is just one of the latest developments that is helping us reach this goal.
"We understand that it is important to meet a range of needs with affordable housing and this development will include a mix of homes from one-bed flats to four-bed family housing on the edge of Coleford."
The Forest Grove development will be delivered over three phases with the final phase anticipated for completion in 2025.
The remaining 22 homes will be available as shared ownership homes and will comprise of two and three bed homes.
