Crest Nicholson Launches Two New Show Homes
Housebuilder Crest Nicholson has unveiled two new show homes at its Union Place at Monksmoor Park development in Northamptonshire, East Midlands. Located in the market town of Daventry, the three-bedroom Seaton and four-bedroom Winkfield houses have been styled to complement their surroundings by leading interior designer, Edward Thomas Interiors.
The Seaton is a detached property featuring a large open-plan kitchen diner, with a spacious separate living room, ideal for hosting friends and family. The downstairs living space also benefits from French doors which flood it with natural light, leading directly out to the garden. Upstairs, it offers three double bedrooms, including one main bedroom with an en suite and a built-in wardrobe.
The Winkfield boasts ample space across its two floors and perfectly accommodates entertaining, family life and homeworking, with a ground floor study and utility room. It offers four double bedrooms with one main bedroom with an en suite and built-in wardrobe, as well as a spacious kitchen dining area and separate living room.
Andy Richardson, Managing Director at Edward Thomas Interiors, commented: "The concept for the show homes at Union Place was a cross between Great Gatsby and Peaky Blinders! These homes have some superb, spacious rooms so to inject the Gatsby-esque glamour and luxury, we used oversized lighting, mirrors and some attention-grabbing wallpapers but contrasted these with the rich, raw colour palette of claret and caramel for which the TV show is known.
"The living rooms have plenty of room for two deep buttoned, claret sofas alongside black marble and chrome furniture while a monochrome wallpaper reminiscent of shards of ice makes an eye-catching feature. In the kitchen diners, we’ve easily incorporated six-seater dining tables and additional sofas, ideal for entertaining or a cosy night in. Don’t miss the chandeliers in the hallway as you head upstairs, where the main and guest bedrooms have been styled with touches of feminine chic.
"The mains include mirrored furniture, sepia artwork depicting iconic cityscapes and a beautiful magnolia blossom wallpaper, while the guest rooms feature wood panelling in a chevron pattern, alongside a home working station. The final bedrooms we designed to appeal to pre-school children and include a space theme complete with painted dark blue ceilings and stars to mimic the night sky."
