Kier Places Wins £28m Contract

Housing provider whg has awarded Kier Places a £28 million deal to deliver planned improvements to over 4,500 homes in the West Midlands.

Under the seven-year contract, Kier Places will deliver capital investment improvements such as new heating systems, windows, kitchens and bathrooms which will make whg’s properties in the Aldridge, Brownhills, Walsall Wood & Pelsall areas safer and more energy-efficient.

They will also support whg as it works towards achieving a minimum energy rating of C on all its properties by 2030.

Working collaboratively, Kier Places will support whg's social value work in the area through corporate social responsibility and health and wellbeing initiatives and create apprenticeship, work experience and employment opportunities.

Mark Whittaker, managing director of Kier Places, said: "We have extensive experience in delivering planned maintenance to properties across the UK and with a firm focus on building safety, community engagement and decarbonisation, and we look forward to providing a quality service to whg.
