Tilbury Douglas Group has announced it has become standalone major contractor, fully separated from the Interserve Group.
Tilbury Douglas delivers vital public sector projects across a range of areas including education, highways, health, justice, defence, water and environment, in addition to working in selected areas of the private sector.
With its history dating back to 1884, Tilbury Douglas most recently reverted back to its well-respected name from Interserve Construction in early 2021.
Paul Gandy, Managing Director of Tilbury Douglas, said: "This is great news for our customers, our suppliers and our people. This separation returns Tilbury Douglas to its historic roots as a major contractor.
"Tilbury Douglas is deeply committed to becoming the most customer-focused and productive contractor in the UK, benefitting from strong in-house Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) capabilities; a specialist fit-out business; and we have significantly invested in our enterprise and technology platforms over the last 18 months.
"We have successfully delivered more than £500m of projects in 2021 and our order book currently stands at more than £1bn and continues to grow.
"Our shareholders are committed to Tilbury Douglas and the team is ready to start the next exciting chapter for our business. We are looking forward to the years ahead and the continued growth of Tilbury Douglas."
