Galliford Try Reappointed To Key Highway Framework

Construction News Image
Galliford Try's Highways business has been reappointed to one of its key local authority frameworks, being named as one of the successful contractors on the Midlands Highways Alliance Plus (MHA+) Medium Schemes Framework.

The framework is valued at £1bn and will run for the next four years, with the potential to extend for a further four years. Galliford Try is one of four successful contractors, having been a framework partner with the MHA+ since 2014.

During that time, the business has created some fantastic schemes through the MHA+ vehicle, including award-winning projects such as the hugely successful Anstey Lane with Leicestershire County Council and the major Grantham Southern Relief Road scheme, the final phase of which is currently underway.

The framework now covers 35 local authorities stretching from Oxfordshire in the south to Cumbria in the north and encompasses the delivery of highway, civil and municipal engineering works, including highway improvements and maintenance, public realm works, drainage improvements, canal works and other infrastructure works such as waste management facilities.

David Lowery, Managing Director of Galliford Try's Highways business commented: "Working in close partnership with local authorities to deliver much-needed infrastructure improvements across the country is at the very heart of what we do. The MHA+ framework is absolutely essential to that work and we are delighted to be part of it once again.

"We look forward to working with the framework and its local authority members, embracing its Early Contractor Involvement culture, and producing more award-winning schemes that create a lasting impact for the communities we work in."
