Bury Council is urging residents to submit their feedback on Radcliffe's large scale multi-million-pound regeneration programme.
Events are taking place this week to give people the opportunity to find out all the latest on Radcliffe’s regeneration plans and the chance to view and comment on the latest designs for the £40m Radcliffe Civic Hub, and to get involved in improving local facilities.
The Radcliffe Civic Hub will be built in the heart of the town centre. In 2024, it will become the new permanent home for leisure in Radcliffe, together with a new library, learning opportunities, community space and enhanced support for health and wellbeing.
Full design information will be available at each event, including a brand-new exterior design, created in response to community feedback.
This week’s feedback event will be hosted at Radcliffe Leisure Centre, Spring Lane, Radcliiffe M27 2SZ on:
• Thursday 25 August (3pm to 7pm)
There will also be one more event in September at Radcliffe Market, Blackburn Street, Radcliffe M26 1PN:
• Saturday 10 September (10am to 12.30pm)
Councillor Eamonn O’Brien, leader of Bury Council and cabinet member for regeneration, said: "There has been excellent attendance at the feedback events already held at Radcliffe Library and we'd really like the events at Radcliffe Leisure Centre and Radcliffe Market to be well attended too.
"What we want to ensure is that the new civic hub and all our plans for transforming Radcliffe are reflective of what local people want, so please do come along to find out more and have your say."
