New Development Of Homes To Be Known As Redbridge Quay
A new development of family homes is to be known as Redbridge Quay.
Surrounded by pocket parks, trees, dockside walkways and public realm, Redbridge Quay will bring the very latest in sustainable housing design and innovation to Wirral Waters.
The development, previously known as East Float, will include a range of highly sustainable family homes and has now officially been named as Redbridge Quay, due to its proximity to the landmark red bridge in the northeast corner of Wirral docks. It also follows Peel L&P taking over the whole development from House by Urban Splash, Peel L&P's original joint-venture partner, earlier in the year.
Redbridge Quay is a key part of the emerging Northbank neighbourhood of Wirral Waters, sitting between the beautiful Grade II listed grain warehouses and the new park ‘Northbank Green’, and is transforming Wirral docks into a place of green and sustainable urban living.
Redbridge Quay will include a mix of the award winning 'Town House' and 'Row House' modular homes, which have been designed by Liverpool architects Shedkm.
Each individual home is being precision engineered using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Peer reviewed data reveals that the fully electric ‘Town House’ home is over 50% more energy efficient than the average new build home, exceeding all carbon reduction targets. Town House has been shown to emit over 20% less carbon than the aspirational target for best practice and has been created using sustainable timber, which emits over 70% less carbon in its construction process than the average building, and over 50% less carbon than the best practice benchmark.
