ISG Completes Work On The Bottle Yard Studios Expansion
ISG completed work on its first TV studios project, to expand The Bottle Yard Studios for Bristol City Council.
The Studios, procured through the Southern Construction Framework, have undergone a £12 million redevelopment backed by West of England Combined Authority investment that has added three new stages to the Studios' portfolio.
The team has expanded the site into the neighbouring South Bristol industrial site, with the number of stages now on offer increasing from eight to 11, helping to grow film and TV production in Bristol and the West of England.
Neil MacDonald, Operations Director for ISG, said: "It's great to hand over ISG's first studio project in the region and wider business, and it puts us in good stead for our upcoming Sunset Waltham Cross Studios project, which will support the UK as it secures its global position as the leading investment location for new film and TV studio facilities."
The project saw the team refurbish an existing warehouse to create three additional studio spaces, create back of house amenities such as bathrooms and break out areas, while increasing space for production vehicles to manoeuvre more freely and adding external roller shutters for access.
Richard Skone, Regional Director for ISG added: "This highly-significant creative arts scheme for Bristol is yet another example of smart and efficient procurement practice – fast-tracking the project to site through the use of the high-performing Southern Construction Framework."
