Bios:
• Matt - Surveytech MD
Matt is the Managing Director of Surveytech, an independent survey equipment firm in London. Matt first began using surveying equipment aged seven when following his father around as a chain boy. He continued to do so when working a summer job on building sites, at the same time as earning a degree from Oxford University. After graduating, he joined Surveytech and has since trained in surveying technologies and archaeology with a particular focus on GIS and laser scanning. As a Geomax-specialist partner, Matt has spent the last decade supporting clients to work with more efficient digital processes on site. Outside of Surveytech, Matt occasionally works as an actor, appearing as a regular character in BBC sitcom, Cuckoo, amongst other things.
• Kris Atkinson - matterport sales
Kris Atkinson is AEC Specialist for Matterport in EMEA where he works alongside various department teams to provide industry knowledge, experience and workflow solutions for the AEC community. An architectural technician by trade, Kris has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry working on a wide range of projects and focuses his attentions on reality capture technologies and the benefits of digitizing. Kris is now using that expertise and passion to inform the AEC market on the importance of reality capture technologies and how Matterport can effectively streamline documentation & collaboration across all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Charlie Cropp - surveymax sales
Charlie is a Chartered Geomatics Surveyor (MRICS) with 22 years of industry experience across all aspects of measured survey works | Graduate of the Camborne School of Mines | Chair of the Survey4BIM Working Group.
Her specific focus over the last 18 years has been in 3D terrestrial laser scanning solutions; both hardware and software. Passionate about everything #LiDAR scanning!
Charlie is a qualified Associate Assessor for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Her presentation will be focused on the GeoSLAM mobile laser scanning range.
• Phil Marsh - geosyestems sales
Phil Marsh is the UK Sales Manager for Reality Capture at Leica Geosystems, responsible for all Reality Capture (HDS) business in the UK. He is also the founder of the laser scanning Forum and has previously worked for SCCS after roles as a senior land and building surveyor.
These are some of his specialisms:
• Highly skilled with LSS and CAD software suites, able to produce high quality plans, as built surveys and volumetric calculations.
• Experienced with modern survey equipment including TPS, GPS & HDS.
• Especially skilled with the latest one man Leica robotic total stations.
• Vast experience with topographical and internal measured building surveys.
• Proficient with 3D laser scanning including the complexity of 3D modelling.
• Knowledge with all types of engineering setting out.
• Proificent with laser scanning software such as Leica Cyclone, Leica CloudWorx, Pointools, Faro Scene, PanoVR
• Proficient with laser scanning hardware including Leica HDS3000, Leica HDS6000, Leica ScanStation II, Faro Photon 120, Riegl VZ400
