Milbank Concrete Products Appoints New Directors
Leading Essex-based precast concrete manufacturer, Milbank Concrete Products, has announced that three of its longstanding employees from departments across the business have been promoted to the Board of Directors.
Design Manager, Richard Wood, Operations Manager, Philip (Max) Maxwell, and Head of Planning and Installations, Martin Perry, all joined the board in April 2023.
The promotions further diversify the leadership team and enable steady future growth and development. With values centred around supporting and developing from within, the board were pleased to welcome 3 employees that had all played integral roles in delivering the exceptional levels of service the business is known for throughout the construction industry.
Design Manager and now Technical Director, Richard Wood, saidsaid: "I am delighted to be joining the board of Directors. Since joining in 2001 I have been part of significant changes and growth, not only within the design office, but across the whole company.
"The industry today presents many challenges and opportunities for the business and our clients. Therefore, I am excited for the challenges ahead, working with the other Directors to reinforce the company for future years, ensuring we continue to deliver excellent service and products to the industry."
Operations Manager and now Production Director, Philip Maxwell, said: "The promotion to a main board Directorship gives me an opportunity to pay back to the company; the time, effort, and trust invested in me over the past eight and a half years. I am delighted to be able to contribute to the continued success of the company."
Head of Planning and Installations and now Contracts Director, Martin Perry, said: "I'm delighted to have been appointed to the Board of Directors and look forward to continuing my support of our employees, suppliers, customers, and the local community. I first joined (then Milbank Floors) in 1992 when Hollowcore production had only recently commenced, and stairs were cast outside. Much has changed over the years and I'm looking forward to being part of the future success of the business."
Established in 1947, the family-run business supplies the UK with a comprehensive range of structural precast concrete products, including Hollowcore flooring planks, Beam & Beam flooring, Insulated flooring, stairs, and specialist precast units. Well-known across the country for providing exceptional levels of service and customer aftercare, the business also recently announced its aim of becoming the UK’s most sustainable precast manufacturer, with a goal of achieving net zero carbon for their own operations by 2030.
