Planning Permission Secured For 1,087-Home Lincoln Development
Church Commissioners for England has secured planning permission to build 1,087 homes in Bracebridge Heath, Lincoln.
The 44-hectare site includes a mix of bungalows, two and three storey homes. 20% of the properties will consist of affordable housing. The designs were created by Leeds studio Architecture 519.
The development will also provide new community infrastructure as well as a purpose-built residential home and a new employment area.
A key aspect of the project is the new 'mobility hub' which offers residents a range of transportation options. These include bus connections, EV charging points as well as new pedestrian and cycle links.
The project also includes amenities such as sports facilities, playgrounds and new open spaces. The scheme contains plans for a new urban drainage system to remove surface water in addition to landscaping zones at the edge of the site.
Commenting on the plans, Matthew Naylor, Strategic Land Principal Manager at the Church Commissioners for England, said: "Our plans for Bracebridge Heath will create a vibrant new community in the Lincoln area, in line with the vision set out in the local plan for new high-quality places to live.
"Retirement housing will provide much-needed places for seniors to live, while a new mobility hub will give residents sustainable transport options that encourage connectivity both within Bracebridge Heath and across Lincoln."
