McGoff Construction Delivers Two New Care Facilities
McGoff Construction has completed work on two new care facilities in Yorkshire and Cheshire.
The schemes, situated in Grappenhall and Guiseley, are valued at £16 million. They were completed within two weeks of each other in late June and early July.
The completed facilities were handed over to care home operator New Care. The new properties bring New Care's portfolio of care homes up to 14.
McGoff Construction worked with its sister companies, Panacea Building Systems and McGoff Group Facilities Services on both schemes.
The company is currently working on two additional care facilities at Egerton in Bolton and Bowden, Cheshire. The site at Egerton is expected to open at the end of 2023, meanwhile, the Bowden facility is expected to complete this month.
Commenting on the projects, Dean Johnston, group managing director of McGoff Construction Services, said: "We have successfully carved a niche within the UK care sector and are now the contractor of choice for several leading care home operators. Our approach is smooth and seamless with little risk, and we have a proven track record of delivering exceptional care facilities utilising our off-site lightweight steel frame solution on budget and within the agreed time frame.
"From acquiring the land to designing the scheme, securing planning consent and build, we manage each project in its entirety before handing over state-of-the-art care facilities to satisfied clients. Ongoing aftercare is then taken care of by our related business McGoff Group Facilities Services. Completing and handing over Grappenhall and Guiseley within a matter of weeks is a double achievement for the company."
Reflecting on the partnership, Cath Fairhurst, chief operating officer at New Care, said: "Our partnership with McGoff Construction is perfect as we collaborate closely on all aspects of each and every care facility, particularly choosing suitable sites and developing design plans, ensuring the care home is exactly as we want it.
