Squires and Partners Recieve Go-Ahead For Westminster Care Home

Construction News Image
Squire and Partners' designs for a new care home in Westminster for Medici Lifecare have been approved.

Plans to demolish Dean Bradley House, which is situated near the River Thames, will make way for the new low carbon development.

The new purpose-built development will deliver required healthcare infrastructure in the capital, providing facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool, Laminar flow theatres and care suites.

As London's largest healthcare consent since the Cleveland Clinic in 2017, the 10 storey building takes inspiration from Belgravia House. The building’s design will feature red brick panels, light bronzed clad and four double height arches marking the main entrance.

Murray Levinson, a Partner at Squire and Partners stated: "Building on our long term relationship with Westminster Council and working with Medici Lifecare, we have expanded our healthcare portfolio at Dean Bradley House. Our design complements the grandeur of brick and stone buildings in the conservation area, where a tripartite elevation of a central stone bay is flanked by brick wings."

Toby Burgess, Head of Corporate Strategy and Property Development at Medici Lifecare said: "Successfully obtaining planning consent, for one of prime Central London’s few Landmark Healthcare Facilities, continues to demonstrate our ability to overcome the high barriers of entry within our healthcare model."
