Glencar To Build Development In East Devon
Glencar has been appointed by commercial property developer Stoford to construct a new 42,500 sq ft industrial/warehouse development at its Exeter Logistics Park development in East Devon.
Situated on a 3.30 acre plot, the development known as DC9 is being built on behalf of an end-user occupier and will reflect the scheme's already extensive sustainability features.
The development will target BREEAM ‘very good’ and an EPC ‘A’ rating, as well as net zero carbon in construction. Features will include water and daylight saving controls, PV panels, electric vehicle charging provision and a sustainable urban drainage system, while occupiers will also benefit from onsite trim trail and outdoor gym areas, including bodyweight exercise equipment.
The works will also include base build with provision for warehouse space, office space, car parking and external landscaping including attenuation ponds. Glencar will also be providing full M&E including an upgraded power supply for the tenants future use.
Construction started in October and will take 30 weeks to develop with the buildings expected to be ready for occupation by May 2024.
Glencar CEO Eddie McGillycuddy said: "We are absolutely delighted to be working for the first time for Stoford whose track record in the I&L space over the course of the past few years has been exemplary and at the forefront of the sector.
"Exeter Logistics Park is a first class development with an impeccable set of ESG credentials which look forward to building on top off and delivering a great end product."
