Multi-Disciplinary Teams Shortlisted To Submit Tenders To Develop New NDF
Manchester City Council has shortlisted six multi-disciplinary teams to submit tenders to develop a new Neighbourhood Development Framework (NDF) for Holt Town.
The Council is seeking to appoint a team to transform the area and create a new mixed-use city centre neighbourhood.
From 17 expressions of interest the selected teams' lead consultants are:
• Allies and Morrison
• Gensler
• Macreanor Lavington
• Plan-It
• Prior and Partners
• Studio Egret West
Each team will now prepare their submissions to the Council by the end of January 2024.
It is anticipated the successful team will be announced in the spring and work to deliver the proposals will commence immediately following consultation and necessary planning approvals.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Bev Craig said: "Holt Town has been for many years the missing piece of the jigsaw between the city centre and the major investment in east Manchester. As such, we have big ambitions for this neighbourhood and we are looking for a team who can match our vision.
"We look forward to seeing the different approaches of the shortlisted team and we welcome fresh ideas and the commitment to see the transformation of this community - including new homes and opportunities to create new employment.
"This is just the beginning of the journey for Holt Town - a bold and exciting future awaits."
