Pagabo Launches New Knowledge Initiative

Construction News Image
National framework provider Pagabo is launching a new knowledge initiative, Pagabo Live, which will kick off the first of its monthly series in January.

The first episode will be launching on Wednesday 24 January with a webinar discussing the recent changes to the Building Safety Act, providing the expert insight on how best to navigate the changes and potential resulting challenges. Drawing on its extensive procurement ecosystem, Pagabo's experts will be joined by Willmott Dixon's national product director Graeme Whitty and Richard Glazzard, regional director at AtkinsRéalis.

Topics for upcoming episodes of the new monthly series include the most efficient way to approach ‘summer works’ for the education sector, as well as funding and budgeting for major projects and developments. As well as presentations from the guests, the webinars will also feature a question and answer section, with audience members able to submit their own queries to the live panel.

Jason Stapley, chief procurement officer at Pagabo, said: "The key aim of launching Pagabo Live is to distil and discuss some of the built environment’s current hot topics with the help of some of the industry’s leading experts. But more importantly, the discussions are designed to help public sector organisations navigate their route forward, make better decisions and best use of funds for maximum impact.

"The format has been built with this in mind, creating a forum for conversations not just for the speakers, but also the audience too. The Q&A format will allow the public sector the opportunity to put their questions directly to our panels, gaining live insights from some of the industry’s leading experts – and providing the chance for follow-up conversations.

"Public sector procurement will continue to be a key driver for the construction industry in 2024 – especially with the Procurement Act coming into force - and we hope that Pagabo Live’s monthly episodes will be an informative addition to the calendar. The series will continue to be built out to suit our audience needs and we are already exploring the potential for an in-person event later in the year, as we value in-person learning opportunities as well as digital."
