Refurb Work At The Triangle Leisure Centre Complete

Construction News Image
The Triangle Leisure Centre, owned by Mid Sussex District Council and run by Places Leisure is benefitting from significant investment.

Upgraded gym facilities have opened further to a £765,000 investment, and to bolster sustainability, a £200,000 solar photovoltaic system has been installed. The upgrades aim to provide members with innovative, environmentally-friendly facilities.

Planned in partnership with Mid Sussex District Council, the gym upgrade introduces new equipment supplied by Life Fitness, including Smith machines, Concept 2 Ski Ergos, HD Performance Air Bikes, and Power Mills. These additions will help improve cardiovascular health and offer new strength and power training facilities.

Councillor Chris Hobbs, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Customer Services at Mid Sussex District Council, said: "It's been great to see the transformation and improvements at The Triangle Leisure Centre. The addition of these new facilities will enhance our community's well-being and play a significant role in making our district a healthier and happier place.

"This investment is a step towards making inclusive, sustainable, and outstanding spaces for everyone and we look forward to all future improvements in our leisure centres and creating a vibrant, healthy district."

Aligning closely with the Council's own ambitions, Life Fitness and Places Leisure are dedicated to localising refurbishments and tailoring projects to suit the needs of surrounding communities. The newly installed machines not only offer advanced features but also contribute to energy efficiency, supporting Places Leisure's Net Zero goal by 2035.

The Sports Hall has also recently undergone renovations in order to upgrade the space, and a refurbished Costa store reopened last month.
