The newly rebranded Octavius Regional Civil Engineering (ORCE) business has secured several new contracts.

These include Somerset County Council awarding ORCE a four-year framework contract to deliver a wide variety of highway improvement projects. These include safety schemes and traffic calming measures and infrastructure associated with active travel, electric vehicles, public transport and mobility hubs.

The A27 New Monks Farm roundabout works on the A27 was originally delayed due to the previous main contractor entering administration. ORCE has been appointed by Community Stadium Limited to complete the main highways works by the summer 2024.

Gavin Prichard Managing Director Highways said: "The transition of the former R&W Civil Engineering business into Octavius is gathering pace and progressing very well. This is in large part due to the aligned cultures and ways of working that attracted us to the business in the first instance.
