THE GUARDTECH GROUP have been named as finalists in the Innovation category for the 2024 Medilink Midlands Business Awards.
The Haverhill-based cleanroom construction firm were shortlisted for their ongoing development of CleanCube Mobile Cleanrooms – a range of portable shipping container cleanrooms that feature the same high-quality intellectual property as Guardtech’s modular builds.
CleanCube previously scooped Federation of Small Businesses and SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards for innovation during the COVID-19 pandemic – with almost 50 container and vehicle conversion labs being utilised for critical PCR testing.
They are now being utilised for a wide range of Research & Development settings and Life Sciences applications, from Cell & Gene Therapy and Pharmaceutical manufacturing to Aerospace and Medical Device work.
Commercial Director Mark Wheeler said: "This is fantastic news – we’re super proud of the CleanCube team for yet another award nomination and we can’t wait for what is sure to be an amazing evening.
"We're up against some brilliant companies in our category and will be among some of the leading lights in Life Sciences, so it’s sure to be an exciting and enlightening occasion.
"As a Group, we believe that we’re among the most-trusted brands in the cleanroom construction industry thanks to a combination of unparalleled expertise and ground-breaking solutions that have helped to elevate the standards of cleanroom infrastructure.
"The innovative approach of our teams has helped our clients, across a wide range of industries, to enhance their operational efficiency and ensure compliance with the most stringent regulatory requirements.
"Being nominated for awards like this just reinforces our determination to continue to deliver world-class solutions that help our clients solve problems and operate more effectively."
The Medilink Midlands Business Awards, which are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, are a hallmark of excellence, celebrating organisations that have demonstrated exceptional performance and innovation across various sectors in the Midlands region.
The awards evening showpiece will take place on 9 May at Leicester’s glitzy Athena venue.
Guardtech will be up against Ademen Ltd, Bioxhale, Eureka Invention and Neurotherapeutics Limited in the Innovation category.
The ceremony will be hosted by Dr Christian Kumar, Medilink Midlands Entrepreneur in Residence and CEO of Medtech Makers Lab.
Dr Kumar said: “I'm thrilled to be hosting such an entertaining and inspirational evening and am looking forward to celebrating the achievements and advances of our thriving Life Sciences sector in the Midlands region."
