Housebuilder Avant Homes has submitted plans to deliver a £20 million multi-tenure development comprising 82 new homes in the village of Burbage, near Hinckley.
Called Chestnut Acres, the proposed 4.86-acre development will be located off Lychgate Lane and consist of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.
The development will feature 11 of Avant Homes’ practically designed, energy efficient house types and of the 82 properties, 17 will be affordable.
If given the go ahead by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, work is expected to start on site in early 2025, with the first residents anticipated to move into their new homes in Autumn 2025.
Avant Homes East Midlands has also committed to community contributions of around £900,000 towards the provision of local services, education and healthcare.
Avant Homes East Midlands managing director, Ben Felton, said: "With easy access to local amenities, Leicester and the wider East Midlands region, we think Burbage is an excellent place for us to build.
"We know there is a high demand for the type of practically designed, energy efficient new homes that we build from people living locally or thinking of moving to the area.
"Our insert name development will feature a mix of practically designed, energy efficient new homes at a range of price points that will enable more people to make their next homeowning step a reality. We now look forward to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council’s considering our plans."
