Avant Homes Acquires Site In Acklam
Avant Homes has acquired a 15.37-acre site in Acklam and been granted planning to deliver a £38 million, 139 new home development.
Called The Avenue and located off St David's Way, the development will comprise a mix of two-, three and four-bedroom practically designed, energy efficient homes.
Work at The Avenue is expected to start in August and it is anticipated the first homes will be released for sale in November. A show home is scheduled to open in May 2025 and the first residents are expected to move into their new homes in 2025.
As part of its planning application, Avant Homes has also committed to a planning contribution of £600,000 to support the local area.
Avant Homes North East land director, Martin Mowbray, said: "This site creates an exciting opportunity for us to provide Acklam with our popular range of practically designed, energy-efficient homes.
"As a housebuilder, we want to build quality new homes for everyone. We believe The Avenue will allow us to once more demonstrate how we create new and thriving communities that benefit local areas and the people who live there."
Sunderland-based Avant Homes North East currently has 8 live developments. These range from Bradley Point, High Spen, to Brompton Mews, Catterick.
Avant Homes North East is part of the Avant Homes Group, whose house types are ideal for the private, rented, and affordable sectors. The company operates across the north of England, Scotland and the Midlands from eight regional operating businesses.
