Ellen Gardens Housing Development Opens In North East Derbyshire
Representatives from emh group, North East Derbyshire District Council, Homes England, and Tanbry Construction gathered to celebrate the official opening of Ellen Gardens, a new affordable housing development in Holmewood, North East Derbyshire.
The development provides a mix of high-quality shared ownership homes and supported living accommodations, addressing local housing needs. Built on the site of a former care provider's office, Ellen Gardens replaces the disused building with modern residential housing. The development includes seven two- and three-bedroom houses, alongside 11 supported living apartments and a dedicated care office known as "Ellen House."
Ellen Gardens was delivered by emh through its Strategic Partnership Programme with Homes England, with financial support from North East Derbyshire District Council and construction by Tanbry Construction. The project was designed to maximise the potential of the site while integrating essential support services for the community.
Chan Kataria, Group Chief Executive at emh said: "It has been fantastic to come together with our partners to celebrate the completion of this wonderful new scheme, which provides much-needed homes to the local community. Thank you to North East Derbyshire District Council for their support on this scheme. We are proud of our strong partnerships that enable us to deliver these high-quality new homes to meet the needs of local people. We look forward to welcoming new residents to their homes over the coming weeks."
