The Vale of Glamorgan Council has completed a significant development of over 50 new council homes on Hayeswood Road in Barry.
This latest project marks a critical step in the Council's long-term plan to address the increasing demand for council housing across the region.
The new development features a range of one- to four-bedroom homes designed to suit diverse housing needs, from families to single residents and couples. Built on land acquired from the Welsh Government, the homes are located near the Atlantic Trading Estate and adjoin a smaller, earlier development on Hayes Road. Constructed to meet high standards of energy efficiency, these homes reflect the Council’s commitment to providing sustainable and affordable housing solutions for the local community.
The Hayeswood Road project follows other recent council housing developments in the area, including schemes at Llys Llechwedd Jenner, Lon y Felin Wynt, and Clos Holm View. Together, these projects underscore the Council’s dedication to expanding quality housing stock amid rising demand for affordable accommodations.
The newly completed homes not only provide modern and energy-efficient living spaces but also represent a substantial investment in the Vale of Glamorgan’s housing infrastructure, aimed at creating stable, accessible, and long-term housing solutions for residents.
