Pick Everard has been appointed as a supplier on Historic England's coveted architectural, surveying, principal designer and lead professional services framework.
The appointment is a significant first for the 158-year-old firm, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership with Historic England as part of its Future Office Estate Strategy.
Under the new three-year framework, Pick Everard will provide compliant, secure, and productive workplaces that prioritises the wellbeing of Historic England’s staff in the UK. The firm will operate across two lots, covering north of England and the Midlands, as well the South West, South East and London regions.
The work will include the delivery of specialist surveys including condition, structural, fire zoning, and utilities, ensuring that historically significant assets are preserved, sustainable, and adapted for long-term use.
Matthew Appleton, strategic account director for culture and heritage at Pick Everard said: "This is a significant appointment for us, and we're pleased to support Historic England across both lots to preserve and enhance its estate. Our team is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions that respect the unique character of these heritage buildings while ensuring they meet modern standards.
"We're able to draw on our expertise in both workplace design and management and heritage conservation, combining industry best practices across multiple disciplines. The partnership allows us to provide solutions that bring heritage benefit and gain, futureproofing Historic England's estate and creating comfortable, adaptable workplaces for its staff."
Through targeted repair, conservation, refurbishment, fit-out and M&E projects, the consultancy will support the sustainable transformation of Historic England’s diverse portfolio, encompassing modern, listed and non-listed buildings and scheduled monuments.
Alex Hamilton-Jordan, associate director of strategic partnerships at Pick Everard, added: "Being appointed on this framework is an excellent achievement and an exciting step in our relationship with Historic England. It enables us to expand our portfolio and bring value to projects that preserve our history. This new alliance underscores the strength of our heritage and workplace expertise and reinforces our commitment to deliver better together."
