Robertson Timber Engineering (RTE) has appointed David Jamieson as its new Sales Director.
Jamieson brings over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, specialising in building products and services.
He previously held roles with A. Proctor Group and Deeside Timberframe and most recently served as the regional commercial manager for Saint-Gobain Off-Site Solutions.
Jamieson joins RTE at a time when the company is focusing on the growth of offsite construction solutions that deliver efficiency, sustainability, and performance across residential and commercial markets.
This appointment further strengthens RTE's position in the market.
Commenting on his appointment, David said: "Robertson Timber Engineering has established itself as a trusted partner of choice for sustainable, high-quality timber solutions, making it an exciting time to join the team. I look forward to building on the strong customer relationships already in place and developing new ones to further strengthen our pipeline and market position."
Through its advanced open and closed panel timber systems and net-zero capabilities, RTE is well-placed to meet the growing demand for sustainable construction, aligned with the UK Government's commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and building 300,000 homes annually.
The company is also making strides into the mass timber market, leveraging its expertise to provide sustainable alternatives for larger-scale projects.
Mike Turner, Managing Director, Robertson Timber Engineering, said: "With David onboard, we will continue to strengthen our partnerships with developers, contractors, and housebuilders across the UK, providing tailored solutions that meet evolving industry demands. We remain committed to supporting the UK Government's housing targets while contributing to a greener future through sustainable building practices.
"We have a unique offering where design and self-delivery is central to our approach, enabling us to be involved at every stage of the process. This provides great benefits for our customers, and with David's expertise, we're confident that we can continue to grow the business."
RTE's off-site approach addresses industry challenges, such as labour shortages, material costs and reliable quality, reducing both embodied and operational carbon, and all while minimising disruption to ultimately speed up the construction process. This assists customers in achieving net-zero, Passivhaus standards, and high BREEAM ratings.
