EN:Procure Invites Tenders For £30m Lifts Framework
EN:Procure, part of social housing consortium Efficiency North, is inviting tenders for work in its new £30 million lifts framework.
The framework covers the installation, refurbishment and maintenance of lifts and lifting equipment in residential, public and commercial buildings.
The tender opportunity is available to multiple contractors in two lots –
Lot 1 covers the installation, modernisation or refurbishment works.
Lot 2 covers the servicing, maintenance and repair works to the lifts or lifting equipment.
Works across both lots are to:
• Lifts, skip hoists, hoists, escalators and moving walkways
• Passenger and goods lifts
• Wheelchair platform lifts
• Stairlifts
• Ceiling track hoists
• Lifting equipment for the healthcare sector
The framework will apply to projects across the country for 48 months and is available to approximately 15 contractors for each lot.
The winning bids will be from companies with a strong focus on ESG goals, creating jobs and training opportunities, work placements and apprenticeships that bring wider benefits to the local area. Those bidding for the framework will be expected to work collaboratively to a high standard and to reflect EN:Procure's commitment to wider regeneration.
Emma Mottram, director of operations at EN:Procure, said: "These lots present a great opportunity for contractors working in this important sector within the built environment. Their work will be crucial to the safe and smooth operation of essential lifts in a wide range of buildings, including within the healthcare sector.
"We're excited to offer this latest framework and, as ever, look forward to receiving bids from high-calibre firms that share our ethos, bringing social value and benefitting the wider community, particularly in creating new jobs. We will also work with the successful bidders as they develop their own ESG strategies."
The framework will be procured under EN:Procure's latest Gen-4 generation of tenders, incorporating the FAC-1 Framework Agreement and dynamic models for ESG delivery, reflecting many of the themes in the government's Constructing the Gold Standard report.
