Winvic Secures Place On £800m Eastern Highways Alliance Framework
Winvic Construction Ltd has been appointed to the Eastern Highways Alliance Framework (EHF4), securing a place on all three Lots of the programme, which could run for up to six years.
The framework, valued at up to £800 million, is managed by Central Bedfordshire Council and involves collaboration with ten other local authorities across the East of England, including Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Norfolk.
EHF4 aims to enhance infrastructure development, streamline project costs, and improve resource sharing across the participating councils. Town and parish councils, along with lead authorities, will also be able to place orders through the framework during its duration.
Winvic's appointment spans all three Lots, positioning the company to deliver a wide range of highways, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects. These include:
Lot 1: Contracts up to £5 million (via Direct Award or Further Competition)
Lot 2: Contracts between £5 million and £30 million (via Further Competition)
Lot 3: Contracts over £30 million (via Further Competition)
The projects covered under these Lots include highway improvements, bridge and structural works, drainage systems, canal works, waste management facilities, and town centre enhancements.
Winvic's success in securing a place on the framework is attributed to its strong safety record, advanced digital design capabilities, and commitment to sustainability and net-zero targets. The company's 'Doing It Right' health and safety programme, which promotes cultural change across its projects, also played a key role in its selection.
Rob Cook, Managing Director for Civils & Infrastructure at Winvic, commented: "Securing a place on all three Lots of the Eastern Highways Alliance Framework is a significant milestone for Winvic.
"Our team's expertise in delivering complex, multi-faceted infrastructure projects aligns seamlessly with the goals of EHF4.
"We are excited to collaborate closely with alliance members to deliver vital improvements that will benefit both local communities and the region’s wider transportation network.
"Winvic's commitment to safety, sustainability, social value and innovative construction practices ensures we are well-positioned to execute these projects efficiently while adding long-lasting value."
