Oxford City Council is inviting the public to suggest potential sites for future development as part of the creation of its next Local Plan, which will shape planning decisions in the city for the next 17 years.
The Local Plan 2042 will guide all development in Oxford, and the Council is calling on landowners, developers, and others familiar with suitable sites to come forward with suggestions. The sites must be located wholly or partially within Oxford’s administrative boundaries.
The Council is particularly interested in sites capable of delivering 10 or more homes, 500m² of employment floorspace, or sites larger than 0.25 hectares. However, submitting a site for consideration does not guarantee it will be included in the Local Plan or granted planning permission in the future.
The Council will also consider sites proposed in previous Local Plans but encourages individuals to submit updates if any new details or changes apply.
This consultation marks an important step in shaping the city's growth and development over the coming decades, and the Council is keen to hear from a wide range of stakeholders.
