Galliford Try has retained its B grade in the latest annual update from CDP, reaffirming its commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability.
The score reflects the company's recognition of its environmental impact and its ongoing efforts to manage and reduce it effectively.
CDP, a global non-profit organisation, operates the world's leading environmental disclosure system, enabling companies to assess their environmental footprint and take action towards a more sustainable economy. The CDP score is widely used by clients, investors, and supply chain partners to evaluate corporate sustainability performance.
After being elevated to a B grade in 2023, Galliford Try has maintained this rating for 2024 through a series of initiatives aimed at reducing emissions and enhancing environmental management. The company remains focused on its long-term sustainability goals, targeting net zero emissions within its own operations by 2030 and across its entire value chain by 2045.
Key milestones achieved this year include:
• Reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by a further 2.5% year on year.
• Publishing the company's first net zero route map.
• Achieving the PAS 2080:2023 certification for Carbon Management in Buildings, Infrastructure, and Product/Material Supply.
• Expanding the electrification of its company car fleet, with 93% of vehicles now electric or plug-in hybrid.
• Increasing the share of electricity purchased on certified renewable tariffs to 86%.
