Hire Chain Celebrates Paisley Opening
One of the UK’s largest tool and equipment hire chain is opening a major new depot in Scotland.
HSS Hire is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and is marking the milestone by relocating its Paisley branch to the Baltic Business Park, which is seen as an ideal location to service the multi-billion pound redevelopment projects underway in West Central Scotland.
It will also be the first new depot to open under the HSS Hire Scotland brand. “Following the company’s decision to invest heavily in extending the product range this allows us to penetrate markets not necessarily common to HSS,” said David Johnstone, Managing Director for Scotland.
“The company has been at the forefront of the UK’s hire industry for half a century and for much of that time we have been the first choice for professionals because we’ve focused on top quality equipment and experienced, well-trained staff,” said Branch Manager Steven Philips.
“We’re adding to that at Paisley by more than doubling the size of the old branch to 10,000 sq ft and offering greater stocks of tools and specialist products from our ranges.”
Underlining its commitment to service, a Mobile Fitter will be based at Paisley to provide an immediate on-call response to customers requiring equipment serviced urgently on-site.
All good news to HSS, which is the current Hire Company of the Year and is the only national hire company to be ranked in The Sunday Times’ Top Track 250 table of Britain’s biggest privately owned middle-market companies by turnover.
“The new Paisley branch will also sell a comprehensive range of trade basics and everyday products, including safety and work wear, hand and site tools, gas and fuel and hundreds of hire accessories from abrasive wheels and diamond blades to screws and fixings,” he added.
