Morrison Construction Secures £6.5m Of New Build Contracts
Morrison Construction, part of the Galliford Try group, has secured two contracts with a combined value of £6.5 million to construct two new commercial developments in Altens, Aberdeen.
The largest value contract involves the £3.7 million negotiated design and construction of a three-storey, 36,000 sq ft office building on Craigshaw Road for client, Morley.
Work on the new L-shaped, open plan office building is due to start imminently and is scheduled to complete March next year.
This is the fourth building that the north east team has undertaken for Morley. In 2004, Morrison delivered an Award Winning £6 million design and build contract of three, two-storey office buildings at Aberdeen Business Park.
The second new build project is a two-storey, 22,500 sq ft office building with mezzanine floor on Wellington Circle, Altens. Before the main contract could get underway the team has had to demolish, as part of a separate contract, the existing facility.
The work is being undertaken for Knight Real Estate and is scheduled to complete later this year.
