Ammann battled against the elements to ensure their stand at Hillhead was ready on time and their efforts were well worthwhile as they received an unprecedented number of visitors to their stand this year resulting in numerous new enquiries.
The Uniglobe 160 which had been erected for the show and is destined for Colas’s, Aram Resources site in Falmouth, Cornwall later this year was a huge success with Ammann’s visitors who were very impressed with the improved features on the plant. The plant had a working mixer that was visible from the outside via a clear Perspex hatch which had been fitted just for the show to enable customers to see the innovative Amix 3 ton mixer in action.
Ammann have invested thousands of pounds in developing the UK’s after sales service and spares business in response to high customer demand. They have a new fleet of vehicles fully equipped with the most up to date tooling and equipment as well as doubling the number of service engineers following a recruitment drive. Recently they have also re-located their spares department to a larger purpose built area in their centralised base in Stratford-upon-Avon and they are now in the process of increasing the range of spare parts held in stock.
Following the ongoing substantial investment Ammann have made in the UK they are proud to be able to provide a more robust after sales service to their customers. They offer a comprehensive plant calibration service using their own calibrated weights and specialist test equipment they are also able to make on the spot adjustments and as most generic parts are stocked on the vans faulty parts can also be replaced there and then and a free calibration certificate is supplied on completion.
The same concept is applied to burner servicing Ammann’s Burner specialists are Corgi registered and offer six monthly servicing for all Oertli Induflame, SIM-Ammann and Ammann burners again all of the engineers specialist equipment is calibrated with the added bonus that all generic parts are stocked in the engineers van thus reducing the necessity of return visits and again a detailed report inclusive of emissions results are supplied as standard.
Ammann are also able to supply customers with full plant inspections/maintenance schedules, can carry out all types of plant maintenance, attend to breakdowns and they even provide plant operator cover for holiday/sickness periods.
